John Cummings

also spelled Comings

A militia is a military unit composed of citizens who are called up in time of need.

John Cummings was born about 1630. He was the son of Isaac Cummings.

He married Sarah Howlett. Sarah was the daughter of Thomas Howlett and Alice French.

In 1666, John was made a corporal in the Topsfield militia.

Isaac and Ebenezer died on November 2, 1688.
